IS IT THE END FOR WINDOWS 10?

last week, it was announced that Windows 10 will be replaced with a new version of the operating system.

Windows 10 was meant to be the ‘final Windows’ with Microsoft saying that the operating system would be continuously upgraded within the Windows 10 name.

For many, Windows 10 is simply Windows 10, however over the years there have been different versions of Windows 10 called ‘feature updates’.

There has been 12 ‘feature updates’ since Windows 10 was released, The current version of Windows 10 is 21H1 released in May 2021.

What is even more surprising is that some versions of Windows 10 are no longer supported by Microsoft. Infact, only the last 3 version of the operating system are supported.

Now, Microsoft has announced that it will no longer update Windows 10 from October 2025.

The next version of Windows is likely to have major improvements in the User Interface, a new start menu, a new taskbar and more.

It is expected that the new version will be more touch screen friendly and have major upgrades to the Microsoft store.

The release is expected June 24. (June 25 Australian)
